Herbivorous catfish eat a purely plant-based diet while omnivorous catfish eat everything they can get their fins on and pure carnivores feed on microorganisms, insects and dead fish. Therefore, if you have catfish, you must provide them with the right food!

Pronovo Pleco Wafer M are food tablets for herbivorous and algae-eating suckermouth catfish measuring 1-20 cm. This fish food contains wood which makes it suitable for wood-grating catfish. Furthermore, it contains other high-quality ingredients such as spinach, salmon, spirulina and shrimp. These make the food very palatable even for picky catfish species.

The food contains no artificial additives.

Recommended use:

Suckermouth catfish are bottom feeders and consume the food as it sinks to the bottom. As predominantly crepuscular and nocturnal fish, catfish prefer to eat when it is dark. Therefore, switch off the aquarium lighting before you feed your catfish. Catfish may not consume the food when it is light, the tablets may dissolve or be eaten by other fish.

Feeding recommendation:

Feed suckermouth catfish once or twice a day with Pronovo Pleco Wafer M. Feed as much as they eat in a few minutes.

Tip: If you house herbivorous, omnivorous and carnivorous catfish together, you can safely feed them at the same time. If they get to the "wrong" food, they will smell it and refuse to eat it. It is not dangerous or harmful even if they eat food meant for another species.
