Description
The Fluval G-knots are a biological filter medium made of ceramic and were specially designed for the external filters of the Fluval G-series. Due to the complex pore system in which beneficial bacteria can thrive. The G-knots have a larger capacity and are so compact that they can be packed tightly into the G-filter basket. This increases the biological nitrification.
Over time, the micro and macro tunnels of the pore system of the G-nodes clog. We, therefore, recommend rinsing them carefully with aquarium water or replacing a biological basket with G-knots every 6 months.
