"That's not true!" say the colleagues from Fluval and we want to agree with that today, because the new LED lighting systems actually have no downsides ;-)

Joking aside, let the facts speak. It only gets shady in the aquarium if you want it too. Namely remote controlled via Bluetooth and the FluvalSmart app. They are available for both Android and iOS.

At this point, the models of the Fluval Plant LEDs differ. Because the Plant Nano LED described here can only be controlled with the app (while the PLant 3.0 LED can also be controlled manually, see here.)

So let's stick to the "Fluval NANO Plant LED", which is remarkably small and incredibly powerful. It is intended to enable larger, livelier plants to thrive in small freshwater aquariums. Developed and constructed in Germany, it emits brilliant 7500 K light.
The K stands for Kelvin and denotes the colour temperature of a light source, in contrast to lumens, for the brightness, and Lux, for the amount of light in a certain area (see also the PDF file below).

The Fluval NANO Plant scores with a new mounting bracket for flexible positioning in all directions, a power-enhancing IP67 waterproofness and a large light distribution.

Which brings us back to the topic of (non-existent) shadows. Because every single LED lamp emits light over 120 ° for wide and uniform lighting - without "dead spots".

In addition, a greater penetration of the water is achieved:
Unlike other LEDs, the Fluval Plant NANO LED lighting system can be safely mounted directly above the water surface and the light penetrates the water more intensively and efficiently.
