Description
Juncus repens is a charming, grass-like marsh plant native to southern and eastern USA. In its natural environment, it thrives in swampy shallow waters and grows permanently under water. In aquariums, this small and beautiful plant is easy to care for and adaptable, making it a popular addition.
It prefers softer water and display luxuriant growth with sufficient CO₂ supply. Under certain conditions, such as strong light and a good supply of micronutrients, it can take on an attractive reddish colour. Its grass-like leaves and stems are perfect for the middle ground and form picturesque meadow landscapes in combination with other aquatic plants.
