Description
Hemianthus callitrichoides 'Cuba' is a reliable ground cover that is familiar to most aquarists and much appreciated. If you perform weekly partial water changes and ensure sufficient light, you will be rewarded with a dense, beautiful ground cover. This pretty foreground plant also benefits from CO2 addition. It is one of the most delicate aquarium plants and should be planted in small bundles a few centimetres apart. It adds a beautifying touch to nano tanks and is the perfect spot for little aquarium dwellers to seek shelter and rest.
- Light requirement: medium to intense

- Water values: very soft to hard - tolerant
- pH value: 5.5 to 7.5 - tolerant

Note: The plants are grown in-vitro in sterile conditions in a laboratory. They are therefore also suitable for use with sensitive animals such as dwarf shrimps and can be used immediately. In-vitro plants do not harbour pests such as snails or parasites. No pesticides are used.
Our expert Oliver Knott recommends:
If the short roots of this plant don't get a hold in the substrate, you can either pile a layer of finer powder on top of the soil or tie the plant to a small, flat stone. Anchoring it in this manner will help the plant develop roots in the aquarium substrate.
