Description
Ranunculus or large river buttercup features deeply lobed leaf umbrellas which provide an interesting look especially in natural aquariums. However, its creeping growth with attractive foliage will fully develop only good lighting conditions. Otherwise the leaf stalks will shoot up too high and the plant will not thrive. The fast-growing plant grows optimally in the middle and foreground, preferably in a group.
- Light requirement: sunny
- Optimum temperature: 10 to 30 °C - high tolerance
- Water values: high tolerance
- pH value: 5 to 7
- Addition of CO2 and nutrients: recommended
- Propagation: stolons, division, separation
Note: The cups are grown in a lab. Aquatic plants grown in an in-vitro culture are sterile. They are therefore also suitable for sensitive animals such as dwarf shrimp and can be used immediately. In vitro plants do not harbour stowaways such as snails or parasites. No pesticides are used.
