Description
Leptodictyum riparium is an extremely adaptable and widespread moss that resembles the mythical snake-haired Medusa. But it is quite different in character!
The upright moss is comfortable in both high and low temperatures and is not fussy about light conditions either: it adapts easily to both well-lit and shady places. Leptodictyum riparium is found almost everywhere in the world but its origins most likely lie in Europe. The undemanding moss is very fast-growing and therefore needs regular pruning. It is quite happy to adhere to stones and tree roots and covers them in a dense mane of fine green threads. It is easy to care for and ideal for beginners.
Note: This moss is grown in-vitro in a lab under sterile conditions. It is therefore suitable for immediate use in aquariums stocked with sensitive animals such as dwarf shrimp. Plus, plants grown in-vitro harbour no stowaways such as snails or parasites. No pesticides are used.
