Description
Hygrophila corymbosa 'Stricta', a low-maintenance stem plant, is native to Southeast Asia. Growing to a height ranging from 40 to 60 cm makes it ideally suited for the background in an aquarium.
It is very popular among hobbyists and has attained classic status as an aquarium plant. It can be used to fight algae formation because it has low demands and uses up a lot of nutrients which reduces the nutrients available for algae growth.
This robust, beautiful aquarium plant grows quite tall and is a beautiful addition to the background. Regular pruning encourages branching and bushy, compact growth.
