This fine natural gravel grain is particularly suitable for aquariums with bottom-dwellers such as armoured catfish, crabs or shrimp. Armoured catfish especially like to dig in the aquarium sand and root for food. For this the rounded Olibetta gravel is perfect.

Olibetta aquarium gravel with this fine grain size is also good for cichlid aquariums - especially the transition from sand to rock zone can thus be ideally designed. Also for shrimp and crayfish, Olibetta aquarium gravel is outstanding. Here, the animals can clear the stones and look for food. If you use coarse aquarium gravel in such a basin, the feed may be lost between the pebbles which can reduce the water quality over time. Here, the plant roots remain well supplied with nutrients since. It is ideal in use with a floor heating or a floor washer. Olibetta natural gravel is water neutral and does not harden. The natural gravel should be thoroughly rinsed with cold water before use to remove any abrasive debris and dust.
