Quantum® skimmer - product details
The Quantum® skimmer is impressive not only for its excellent performance but also for its low noise level. It is barely audible, partly because it is fully decoupled by silicone feet. It is also easy to maintain and very energy-efficient, consuming little power despite its impressive performance.
Compact design with variable setting options
Say goodbye to bulky, built-in devices! Nyos® has deliberately designed the Quantum® skimmer to be compact and it can also be completely taken apart. In order to withstand the harsh conditions of saltwater, it features extremely break-resistant high-performance zirconium dioxide shafts and saltwater-resistant screws. As every aquarium is different and has individual requirements, the Quantum® skimmer can be easily customised. For example, the air and water volume can be adjusted separately, and a precise micro-adjustment screw enables additional fine adjustment of the water level.
Impressive drive
Nyos® has developed a new high-performance drive specifically for the Quantum®! A special hybrid wheel with a super-lightweight design combines needle and grid wheel. A grid-shaped base, studded with fine needles, generates countless micro air bubbles while consuming very little power due to its low weight! Of course, a hybrid wheel also needs a pump chamber - this is where the new Clear View Reactor comes into play!
The transparent large-volume reaction chamber produces a mixture of water and air. An optimum ratio between air and water is achieved by the hybrid wheel and a Venturi nozzle. Thanks to the excellent transparency, foreign bodies can be easily identified.
Twister + Sinus design
The Quantum® creates a sawblade-like twister that gives the air bubbles a spin and swirls them around in a vortex. This keeps the air bubbles in contact with the water column for as long as possible to achieve optimum skimming performance. The specially developed Sinus design Sinus allows air bubbles to rise unhindered in a flow-optimised double-S shape.
