Description
Prevention is better than cure! The reliable MC 810 Ph/TDS/Temperature Meter automatically measures the pH, TDS and temperature values so you can always keep an eye on them. The device is suitable for automatic monitoring these values in aquariums, nutrient tanks and hydroponic systems around the clock. All you have to do is calibrate the parameters at the beginning.
The measuring device is extremely reliable and accurate.
- ± 0.2 pH with manual two-point calibration (range: 0.0 - 12.0 pH)
- a TDS accuracy of ± 2% of full scale
- a temperature accuracy of ± 0.3 °C
Area | Resolution | Accuracy | |
pH | 0.0 - 12.0 pH | 0.1pH | ± 0.2pH |
TDS | 0 - 1990 ppm | 10 ppm | ± 2% of full scale |
Temperature | 14.0°F - 140.0°F | 0.1°F / 0.1°C | ±0.5°F (±0.3°C) |
The meter has three easy-to-read digital LCD displays with a green backlight on which the values are displayed. There is an external switch on top of the device that converts EC conductivity to TDS (ppm) with a conversion factor of 0.5 or 0.7. To measure values as accurately as possible, the device allows easy two-point calibration for pH and one-point calibration for TDS - manual trimmers are also integrated for easy adjustment.
Storing the Probe
The pH probe must always be stored wet because dry storage can damage it. It is best to keep the probe in a pH probe solution or in pH calibration buffers. Under no circumstances should the pH probe be stored in tap water or DI water, as this can also damage its sensitivity!
The best way to store it is when the probe cap is filled with storage solution or calibration buffer. The cap should be tightened to prevent leakage. It is also recommended to store the electrode upright to minimise the risk of leakage.
Cleaning the probe
To prevent residues in the probe from causing blockages, the electrode should be regularly soaked in a cleaning solution!
Note: To maintain the reliability of the meter, the pH sensor bulb should be calibrated from time to time. The device should also be calibrated after cleaning or prolonged storage.
It comes with a powerful MA911B/2 lab-grade gel-filled pH electrode, a 2m probe cable for more flexibility during measurement, and a 12VDC power supply (160mm x 110mm x 35mm).
