JBL ProScape PlantStart, 16 g

JBL ProScape Plant Start is a soil activator with living bacterial cultures suitable for aquariums from 20-100 L. It supplies plants with essential nutrients and prevents magnesium deficiency.

Aquatic plants are a very useful component in every aquarium because they remove nutrients from the water and thus prevent the growth of algae. Newly planted aquatic plants take a long time to develop roots that are strong enough to be well anchored in the ground. With JBL PlantStart you can shorten the time it takes for aquatic plants to get established and grow well. The special bacterial culture makes it easier for the plants to absorb nutrients and trace elements from the soil. The precipitated iron III is, for example, converted to plant-available iron II.

Another advantage of JBL PlantStart emerged during tests: the bacteria very quickly colonise the substrate and break down organic matter. In this way, a newly introduced substrate can become a functioning additional filter in an extremely short time. The resulting biofilm reduces the formation of blue-green algae (cyanobacteria).

Application
Before adding soil (e.g. JBL ProScape PlantSoil), sprinkle all over the subsoil structure (e.g. JBL Volcano Mineral). Cover with the desired thickness of soil. Other variants are possible.

Use a dosage calculator to determine the exact fertiliser requirement taking into account the initial values of the aquarium water.
