Description
The JBL ProAqua Test Ca Calcium is a water test for analysing the calcium content in the seawater aquarium.
Calcium is used to build the skeleton of corals, as well as to build shells, snails, tube worms and others. A too low calcium value in the seawater aquarium affects the coral growth as well as the life functions of other invertebrates and also fish.
Recommended calcium levels:
Freshwater aquarium (community aquarium): Calcium is part of the total hardness and is present in much smaller quantities than in seawater. Therefore, the test does not indicate correctly in freshwater.
Sea water aquarium: 390-440 mg / l
Our expert Oliver Knott recommends:
Inexplicable coral problems are often the cause of a nutrient deficiency - a water test provides information quickly and safely!
