Exo Terra Jungle Earth Terrarium Substrate, 26.4L

Heat-treated and odour-absorbing Exo Terra Jungle Earth is a terrarium substrate for reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates living in tropical habitats. The biodegradable substrate consists 100% natural bark from sustainably grown pine trees. Thanks to its hygroscopic nature, the finely chopped pine bark regulates the humidity in a terrarium by first absorbing moisture and then releasing it into the air. The texture of this substrate stimulates natural burrowing behaviour and allows reptiles to build firm nesting burrows to lay their eggs just as they would do in their natural habitat.

Instructions for use:

Spread the substrate in a 3-5 cm thick layer on the terrarium floor. You can mist or add water to the substrate to achieve a specific moisture level. Use the Exo Terra Hygrometer to check humidity levels. Remove soiled substrate daily. Replace the substrate completely when necessary.
