Description
Eriocaulon cinereum is a very adaptable and easy-care rosette plant with a distinctive appearance. Its narrow, lance-shaped leaves resemble sea urchins when they grow to a certain size, thus creating a visually striking effect in an aquascape. It is just as striking as a solitary plant as it is when planted in a group. Given enough light and CO₂, it develops delicate flower stalks 5 to 8 cm tall. It thrives in very soft to soft water. Its slow-growing habit makes it a great choice for small aquarium tanks.
- Light requirements: high
- Optimal temperature: 18 to 30°C
- Water hardness: very soft to soft
- pH value: 4.5 to 7
- CO2 and nutrient addition: essential
Note: The plants are grown in-vitro in sterile conditions in a laboratory. They are therefore also suitable for sensitive animals such as dwarf shrimps and can be used immediately. In-vitro plants do not harbour pests such as snails or parasites. No pesticides are used.
