Description
Cryptocoryne wendtii 'Broad Leaf' is a broad-leaved aquatic plant that is native to certain regions in Sri Lanka. It is easy to care for and highly adaptable - making it particularly suitable for beginners.
With a maximum height of around 20 cm, it remains relatively low and is therefore a good candidate for the foreground. The broad leaves lend it a robust, attractive appearance. Its strong green leaves can appear slightly brown under certain conditions. It prefers lots of light and can thrive in a variety of water conditions in nutrient-rich substrate.
- Light requirements: high to medium
- Optimal temperature: 20 to 28°C
- Water hardness: very soft to hard
- pH value: 5 to 8
- CO2 and nutrient addition: recommended
- Propagation: runners
Note: The plants are grown in-vitro in sterile conditions in a laboratory. They are therefore also suitable for use with sensitive animals such as dwarf shrimps and can be used immediately. In-vitro plants do not harbour pests such as snails or parasites. No pesticides are used.
