Description
Rotala "H'ra" is also known as "Gia Lai" - both are place names in Vietnam, their homeland and probably the local name of the Rotala rotundifolia. The light orange leaf colour is particularly interesting but only stands out under strong lighting. It has a rapid growth habit that is horizontal and perfect for the background and centre. It is fairly easy to grow, making it ideal even for beginners.
Due to its high adaptability, this Rotala thrives surprisingly well even with an average supply of CO2 and nutrients. Since pruning is usually necessary, it is especially popular with those who enjoy proactive landscaping. Good lighting conditions will display the orange colours to the best. Other Rotala varieties can be planted in groups for an eye-catching effect. It will thrive in soft to medium-hard water, temperatures from 4 to 32°C and stable pH. It can be easily propagated from cuttings.
Note: The plants are grown under sterile conditions in a lab. Aquatic plants grown in such an in-vitro culture are sterile and therefore also suitable for immediate use in aquariums with sensitive animals such as dwarf shrimp. In-vitro plants have no stowaways such as snails or parasites and are free from pesticides as well.
