Description
Guyana Thousand Leaf is a graceful, finely branched rarity that is seldom available in stores! Lush light green, upright bush structures and moderate growth rates make this plant a popular newcomer. Due to the delicate but lush foliage and a maximum height of 20 cm, it decorates the foreground and middle ground as well as nano aquariums excellently. The origin remains unclear, but French Guiana / South America is suspected. Since it is easy to care for, even beginners will quickly enjoy the graceful appearance.
Medium-light conditions are sufficient, and reports have shown that Guyana milfoil thrives well even in shady areas. In contrast to some of its relatives, there is no discolouration - it remains light green even in strong light. Too dense shoots should be thinned out regularly, the plant then retains uninterrupted foliage down to the ground even when it is old. She estimates temperatures between 22 to 30°C, the water can be from very soft to hard, the pH value should be kept stable between 5 to 7.5. She is grateful for simple, regular supplies of nutrients. Aquascaping fans like to plant them in corner areas - their upright, bushy growth hides the transitions between foreground, middle and background perfectly; It also works as an eye-catcher in structural arrangements - for example, streets in "Dutch style". Propagation is also easy and works well via cuttings.
Note: The cups are grown in the laboratory. Aquatic plants from the so-called in vitro culture are grown sterile. They are therefore also suitable for sensitive animals such as dwarf shrimp and can be used immediately. With in vitro plants, there are no stowaways such as snails or parasites, and pesticides are also completely avoided.
