Description

The pennywort is not exotic, but comes from Europe and grows both above and below water. While the plant crawls on land, it stands upright underwater and presents its beautiful, penny-shaped leaves. Its stems are most attractive in a group, but they are also popular as a soloist. Since it usually only reaches low heights, this attractive plant fits perfectly into all three grounds - depending on the overall design. It is extremely easy to care for and only needs enough light.

This distinctive beauty remains "evergreen" in all lighting conditions. Since it can cope well with low temperatures, cold water aquariums or pools with low temperatures are also a good habitat for them. Very good lighting conditions maintain the healthy luminosity of the leaf colour and support growth. While it tends to proliferate on land, it shows restraint underwater. Their adaptability is so enormous that they can be ideally integrated into existing water gardens. In terms of design, it is also suitable for structuring implementations, for example streets in the "Dutch style". Neutral pH values, all water hardnesses, temperatures between 4 and 25°C, good to intense light conditions and regular nutrient supplies are ideal. Propagation takes place via cuttings.

Note: The cups are grown in the laboratory. Aquatic plants from the so-called in vitro culture are grown sterile. They are therefore also suitable for sensitive animals such as dwarf shrimp and can be used immediately. With in vitro plants, there are no stowaways such as snails or parasites, and pesticides are also completely avoided.
