Description
Ammania senegalensis grows quickly and bears striking cognac-coloured foliage ranging from brownish red to orange. The leaf edges of the stem plant remain submerged and curve downwards providing an ideal place for small and delicate ornamental fish to hide. Good light conditions and a nutrient-rich substrate are a must for this otherwise undemanding plant that is easy to care for. It is a strikingly attractive addition in groups in the midground or background and can also be used to create plant streets. Although it looks very robust and rather large, it also sits well in smaller aquariums.
