Description
The rosette plant Cryptocoryne parva, also known as the Dwarf Water Trumpet, is one of the smallest crypt aquatic plants. The grass-green plant has a characteristically low growth habit and usually does not grow taller than 6 cm. They are native to the central highlands of Sri Lanka, where they grow along river banks in dense colonies. The dwarf plant will grow slowly in an aquarium but is extremely easy to care for. It prefers a lot of light and does not like to be in the shade of other plants. Fertilisation and supplying CO₂ will promote its growth. After a while, it develops into a fuller shape which then offers wonderful hiding places. It is particularly suitable as a foreground plant and is also wonderful in nano aquariums. The perfect plant for your aquascape!
Note: The cups are grown in a lab. Aquatic plants grown in vitro are sterile. They are therefore also suitable for sensitive animals such as dwarf shrimp and can be used immediately. In vitro plants also have no stowaways such as snails or parasites. No pesticides are used.
