Description
The aquarium plant Bacopa australis or Southern fat leaf is native to South America. Because of its simplicity, this plant is very popular with aquarists. The aquarium plant Bacopa australis becomes 10-40 cm high. The southern fat leaf grows very bushy and has a very bright green tone. With strong aquarium lighting, the leaves may appear reddish. You do not have to buy a CO2 fertiliser for the southern fat leaf, but with CO2 it grows faster and more beautiful.
