Description

The Tetra APS aquarium air pump is a black aquarium air pump and is intended for use with air vents or air lift filters in the aquarium.

To operate air-operated sponge filters or to increase the oxygen content by increased surface movement, an aquarium air pump is essential. The Tetra APS aquarium air pump is a very quiet and extremely powerful air pump, which has a very quiet running thanks to sound-absorbing chambers. Thanks to the innovative pump construction with strong housing walls and special, vibration-absorbing rubber feet, very quiet operation is possible. The Tetra APS air pump impresses with exceptional quality and reliability and provides a constant high air flow through a durable and powerful membrane. An air valve to control the air flow is enclosed with the packaging. The operation is very easy. The Tetra APS aquarium air pump is TÜV / GS certified, CE certified and has a 3 year warranty.

The Tetra aquarium air pump APS should be kept dry outside of the aquarium, as dust-free as possible and placed on a flat surface. This minimises the vibration of the air pump and thus the noise level. If possible, the pump should be placed above the water level of the aquarium. This prevents any water from flowing back into the pump when it is turned off. To adjust the air supply, install the supplied air valve. If using a check valve, place the air valve between the air pump and the check valve. To reduce the air supply, slowly turn the air valve clockwise. The air filter should be replaced regularly - depending on the degree of soiling. Failure to replace a polluted air filter may result in reduced air supply (and thus performance). Air stones may clog after a while. Then there is an increased back pressure, which reduces the performance of the air pump and leads to increased wear of the membrane. Therefore, replace your air stone at regular intervals as soon as you notice a reduced air outlet, or if the air stone is visibly dirty or calcified.
