Description
Our Red Moorwood originates from China. Red Moorwood is produced from the rootstocks of rhododendron bushes and therefore contains less humins and tannins than other kinds of
aquarium driftwood. It stains the water considerably less, too. Red Moorwood still provides your suckermouth plecos and crayfish with all-important fibre. Since Red Moorwood has a
considerable buoyancy at first, we recommend pre-soaking for some time or to weigh the
driftwood pieces down if you want to use them in your aquarium or aquascape right away.
These spectacular pieces of real driftwood for freshwater aquariums and terrariums are an important source of fibre for catfish and invertebrates, and they add natural humins and tannins to the water, just like the water in the original biotopes of your aquarium pets.
Our expert Oliver Knott says:
These beautiful, very delicate pieces of driftwood are finely ramified and add a very light, sophisticated atmosphere to your aquarium or aquascape. Absolutely stunning when combined with mosses or epiphytic plants and perfect for the use in shrimp tanks.

Nice pieces of wood, and well packaged. But be warned very tannin-y. Soak well before putting them in the tank.

Got a mukky white bacteria growing on one of the root
Rated with 3 out of 5 stars.
May be related with the batch - it went away after 1 month. Affected only one of the 3 roots I got.

Hi, the root will float up a lot at first, so ideally it should be pre-watered or simply weighted down in the aquarium or aquascape until it stays down.
