The gnarly two-colour Mopani Wood from Africa is an absolutely gorgeous focal point in any
planted tank or aquascape. It creates dramatic effects and beautiful contrasts and can be
planted with epiphytic aquarium plants very nicely. These pieces are rather large in comparison and they are perfect for the creation of dramatic underwater worlds. Excellent for jungle-style layouts and other underwater scapes. Since Mopani is a heavy wood it will sink at once. It doesn't stain the aquarium water very much.

These spectacular pieces of real driftwood for freshwater aquariums and terrariums are an important source of fibre for catfish and invertebrates, and they add natural humins and tannins to the water, just like the water in the original biotopes of your aquarium pets.

Mopani Wood L is a true classic type of driftwood for planted aquariums and aquascapes. In the early days of shrimp keeping, some pieces of Mopani driftwood were sand-blasted with abrasives that were incompatible with shrimp, but you may rest assured that our Mopani Wood is absolutely harmless for shrimp and can be used in any shrimp tank.
