The aquarium

The beautiful aquarium by Nyos® has a drainage shaft that is recessed into the outside of the rear pane and is flush with the rear pane of the aquarium. The advantage is that there is no need for a shaft in the aquarium, leaving more space for aquascaping. The extra depth of the aquarium adds to the space.
To best showcase your fish and corals, the two side panes and the front panes are made of ultra-clear glass, which has a much weaker green tint than conventional glass. The rear pane is a dark blue colour which enhances the illusion of an underwater world with the illusion of extra depth.
To further emphasise the look, only silicone has been used in the glass tank while no side bars or crossbars were used in its construction.

The base cabinet

The base unit of the Slim-Line aquarium combination features a slim design, elegant matte finish and clean lines. Its overall height makes it extremely comfortable to work on and under the aquarium. The individual support panels have a melamine resin coating, making them not only moisture-resistant but also scratch and impact-resistant. The equipment tank is located behind the two doors, which can be opened with an integrated push-to-open system. The Slim-Line base unit has a small footprint, which makes it particularly space-saving - minimalism meets great design!

The equipment tank

The centrepiece of the aquarium is the spacious equipment tank, which is concealed in the base cabinet. In contrast to other aquariums with hose installations, the OPUS G2 has durable, space-saving fixed PVC pipes that is easy to install.
The spacious main chamber has room for several devices such as fluidised bed filters, algae reactors or skimmers and offers a constant water level of around 21 cm. The drain can be regulated thanks to a valve so that drainage noise can be reduced, and there is also an emergency drain. The XL refill basin is 50 cm high and provides evaporation water for a week.
The equipment tank is constructed according to a 5-chamber principle:

Chamber 1:
Chamber 1 is a calming chamber for the return water from the main aquarium.

Chamber 2:
Chamber 2 contains the filter sock, which filters dirt particles out of the water.

Chamber 3:
Chamber 3 is the main filter chamber with a constant water level. There is also space here for additional filters, skimmers and other devices.

Chamber 4:
Chamber 4 is narrow and is located between the main filter chamber and the return chamber. An additional filter sponge can be inserted here if required.

Chamber 5:
The water is returned to the main aquarium from chamber 5 using a return pump. A sensor for an automatic refill should also be installed here.
