Description
The MW600 Pro Oxygen Meter from Milwaukee is a portable, laboratory-quality device for reliable measurement of dissolved oxygen with an accuracy of ± 1.5 % FS and automatic temperature compensation (0-30 °C). The meter contains the MA840 polarographic probe with an oxygen-permeable polytetrafluroethylene (PTFE) membrane sensor - 5 O-rings, 5 membranes and a protective cap are included.
The device is equipped with a user-friendly display with a digital LCD screen. A 3 m long cable ensures flexibility when measuring the oxygen content. The pack includes a 9 V battery that emits a warning signal when it is low. In continuous operation, the battery lasts for 70 hours.
Application:
Open air calibration for the MW600 Pro oxygen meter:
- Remove the membrane by taking it off the probe. Dry the diode.
- Connect the probe to the device first and only then switch it on. The device should display 0.0. If this is not the case, you can use the screwdriver on the front of the device to set the display to 0.0 through the access hole.
- Place the O-ring inside the membrane on the nozzle at the lower end of the thread. Fill the membrane with the MA9071 electrolyte solution until just before the O-ring. Make sure that there are no air bubbles in the membrane - these could cause calibration errors. Screw the membrane onto the probe
- Switch on the measuring device, but hang the probe with the tip facing downwards and wait until the device display stabilises - this process can take 5 to 15 minutes!
- Press the "Cal" button located on the front of the device. Hold the button and do not release it. Move the screwdriver to the "100 %" calibration position. The display should now show 100.
- The calibration is complete.
Note: Always use a fresh oxygen electrolyte solution!
