Description
The MW14 Iron Photometer is a digital measuring device to reliably determine the iron concentration in aquariums, aquacultures as well as other water treatment applications. The small device with an ergonomic design has an easy-to-read LCD display. In contrast to inaccurate readings with test strips, the values with this digital photometer are not determined visually and therefore result in precise measurements.
This device uses an adaptation of the USEPA Method Phenatroline 315B. The reaction between iron and the reagent causes the sample to turn orange.
The iron photometer runs on one AAA battery (1.5 V). The device switches itself off automatically after 2 minutes of non-use to save battery life.
Application:
Add the reagent to the glass cuvette and get a digital reading with an accuracy of ± 0.04 ppm ± 2% of the reading at 25 °C* within minutes.
*Measurement range 0.0-5.00ppm
