Description
The CD600 TDS Meter is a digital device used to measure total dissolved substances (TDS) in aquariums, hydroponics, gardens and other water treatment applications. The TDS meter with automatic temperature compensation (ATC) can be used in applications such as to find out whether plants have sufficient nutrients for growth or whether a filter can carry out successful water filtration for clean water.
The TDS meter can be used to keep the TDS values within a desired target range in specific applications. For example, the ideal range for hydroponics is from 0 to 1990 ppm.
The device is factory calibrated, but it can be recalibrated if necessary using a one-point calibration. It includes four 1.5V batteries for 350 hours of continuous operation.
Instructions for Storage & Care:
As with any other device, the TDS meter may start showing signs of wear and tear after a while, usually in the form of nutrient deposits. You can prevent this by rinsing the probe thoroughly with fresh tap water or distilled water after each use.
Conversion TDS to EC
Since the TDS meter displays the values in total dissolved solids (ppm). To convert to µS/cm, the conversion is as follows:
1 ppm = 2 µS/cm on the 0.5 scale
1 ppm = 1.43 µS/cm on the 442 scale or the 0.70 scale.
