JBL TopClean II, Sucker

The JBL TopClean II is a surface extractor used to remove deposits and foreign bodies on the water surface and is used as a supplement to external filters in aquariums from 60-600 liters (from 35cm height).

Elimination of the epidermis
Infrequent water changes and overfeeding can lead to a biofilm (sponge skin) on the water surface of aquariums, since a normal suction pipe from the external filter does not include the water surface in the filter circuit. The epidermis is a whitish layer of bacteria and fungi. This prevents the maximum oxygenation of the water.

Surface and deep water intake
With the JBL surface suction device, the formation of the epidermis is effectively eliminated or prevented in advance. The deep water intake means that the suction device can be used as a replacement for the previous suction pipe. The suction comb adapts automatically to changing water surfaces (e.g. in the case of evaporated water).

Easy installation
The JBL surface extractor is connected to the external filter instead of the previous intake pipe. The suction comb is attached to the rear corner of the aquarium with suction cups. The ratio of surface extraction and deep water intake is selected with the regulating rod.

Elegant shape
The JBL TopClean II has been improved compared to its predecessor: the buoyancy float has been optimised so that it has more buoyancy and adaptation to changing water levels. The adjustment spindle can also be removed from the device. The JBL surface suction device has an elegant semicircular shape and is suitable for hoses from 9/12 to 16/22 mm in diameter.
