The EHEIM pickup is a practical internal filter with a very special concept. You simply attach it to the tank with the suction cups. The special part; you can simply remove the filter container together with the filter sponge from above. The pump unit remains in the basin, which is extremely practical when cleaning or changing the filter cartridge. The pump sucks in the water from below and conveys it back up through the filter sponge. Here, the cleaned water is returned to the aquarium through the rotatable outflow nozzle. Incidentally, you can adjust this to set the perfect outflow direction for you. The pickup is fully equipped and ready to use. You can also use activated carbon cartridges in the filter for adsorptive water treatment, such as when setting up a new facility or after taking medication.

You can wash the filter sponge a few times, but you should replace it about twice a year to maintain consistently good water quality.
