Aquael Ultra Slim 90 - Aquarium Lighting

Among other factors, an appropriate artificial light source is crucial for a healthy and functioning flora and fauna in an aquarium as natural light is often insufficient. Choosing the right lighting and planning the lighting cycle is therefore extremely important for the well-being of all plants and animals in your aquarium.

The Ultra Slim BT aquarium lighting element is modern and flat in design with a range of impressive features.

Its size and installation method can be customised and combined. For instance, if you have a larger aquarium, you can use two or more Ultra Slim BT lighting elements. You can also choose between two options for installation:

• Suspend the lamp above the aquarium using steel cables
• Mount the lamp with an adjustable frame equipped with transparent guides and attach to the sides of the aquarium

Accessories for both installation options are included.

The app:
One of the highlights of this lamp is that it can be operated with an app on your smartphone or tablet using Bluetooth. The Aquael BT app enables remote-controlled lighting settings. Among other things, you can set the lighting temperature, intensity and colour, as well as regulate the exposure time. The app allows operation by multiple devices and people. You can also control multiple lights at a glance. Aquael BT can be secured with a PIN code.

• Create your own lighting plans for the requirements of individual fish and plants.
• Program lighting cycles that mimic natural light changes throughout the day (e.g. dawn & dusk) for smooth transitions from night to day and vice versa.

The various lighting options:

5 lighting modes make it possible to use the lamp for all types of open aquariums.

1. SUNNY is the basic mode with the most intense light. It is suitable for lighting a freshwater aquarium during the day.
2. DAYBREAK is a mode with reduced light output - up to 50% compared to the SUNNY mode. It is suitable as the first mode following night and for feeding fish - especially reclusive fish.
3. NIGHT is a cosy blue light that enables observation of nocturnal life in an aquarium.
4. MARINE is a lighting mode for saltwater aquariums as well as decorative aquariums with fish from Lake Malawi and Lake Tanganyika.
5. PLANT is a mode for typical plant tanks that stimulates their growth in every phase: from seedling to flowering. Ideal for Dutch aquariums with varied vegetation.

Information on energy consumption:
The UltraSlim BT 90 model has 12 spotlights. each with 38 modern LEDs. These have an excellent efficiency of >130lm/W. Furthermore, diodes emit much more light than fluorescent lamps and consume around 50% less energy.

The lamp also features a passive cooling system which improves energy efficiency and allows the lamp to run quietly and without disruption. The design dissipates excess heat and does not require an additional fan for cooling purposes.

Safety standards:

• Safe operating voltage of 24 V.
• UltraSlim BT remains safe even in case of brief immersion in water, which is guaranteed by the IPX7 waterproof rating.
