Description

Wallichs Rotala is an extremely attractive stem plant with fine, needle-like leaves, a fan-like growth structure and a wonderful play of colours! It originally comes from a tropical environment in Southeast Asia and therefore prefers soft, slightly acidic water. She absolutely needs nutrients, CO2 and good light; the stronger the lighting, the more splendid the red colour. In lush group planting, it looks imposing, as a soloist it attracts everyone's attention.

Although it is demanding, this delicate plant is extremely popular: Lots of light - at least 0.5 watts per litre -, sufficient supply of CO2 (bio-CO2 system or a system with pressure bottles recommended) and balanced macro and micronutrient supplies the basis for good growth with strong colours. Your ideal temperature is between 24 and 28°C. Aquascaping professionals tend to plant them in the background to the middle distance, only if you shorten them in good time will they decorate the foreground with considerable growth; Their stature range is 10 to 30cm in height. It is just as suitable for small aquariums as it is for large underwater landscapes. The stems of the potted plant can also be propagated as head and partial cuttings directly in the aquarium - a plus for true underwater gardeners!

Note: The cups are grown in the laboratory. Aquatic plants from the so-called in vitro culture are grown sterile. They are therefore also suitable for sensitive animals such as dwarf shrimp and can be used immediately. With in vitro plants, there are no stowaways such as snails or parasites, and pesticides are also completely avoided.
