Description
Rotala Pearl is a selection of the Rotala macrandra. "Pearl" already indicates its graceful elegance: delicate stems and tiny leaves, the arrangement of which is reminiscent of pearl necklaces, give this plant a distinctive appearance. The colour development ranges from rich green to reddish, even purple-coloured expressions. South India is located as the origin. However, some requirements have to be met: Rotala Pearl likes it warmer and loves intense light exposure. In aquascaping, it is assigned the foreground and middle ground - an extraordinary beauty that wants to be seen!
For good, leafy growth, it absolutely needs strong light and sufficient CO2 and nutrients. The ideal temperature is between 18 to 30°C; This Rotala also appreciates a stable pH value. The water hardness can vary from soft to hard. Since it grows rather slowly, it fits well in the foreground and is an ideal candidate for nano aquariums. Their tiny, downwardly curved leaves are particularly attractive in separate group planting. She rarely or not at all requires pruning; You should definitely protect this delicate plant from overgrown plants! Propagation takes place via cuttings.
Note: The cups are grown in the laboratory. Aquatic plants from the so-called in vitro culture are grown sterile. They are therefore also suitable for sensitive animals such as dwarf shrimp and can be used immediately. With in vitro plants, there are no stowaways such as snails or parasites, and pesticides are also completely avoided.
