This high-quality measuring device is used to determine the TDS value in the water in aquariums, water treatment systems, etc. The TDS value shows the total amount of solids (TDS) dissolved in the water such as salts, minerals and metals. This allows operators to determine how conductive or how nutrient-rich the water is. An indispensable device for species-appropriate plant and animal husbandry.

Note from the manufacturer:
TDS/PPM is often converted to uS/cm. The different scales include the 500 scale, the 650 scale, and the 700 scale
Your TDS/PPM readings can be roughly converted to uS/cm, for example:
1 ppm = 2 µS/cm on the 0.5 scale
1 ppm = 1.43 µS/cm on the 442 scale or the 0.70 scale
