Description
Unlike desert reptiles, snakes, nocturnal geckos, frogs, newts, spiders and insects do not have specific UVB requirements. The energy-efficient Day & Night LED by Exo Terra is specifically designed for these reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates to ensure maximum light with minimum heat. While conventional lights require almost 80% of the energy consumed to produce heat, Exo Terra's Day & Night LED generates almost no heat. This prevents the animals from overheating in summer and cools the air at night.
The lamp includes bright white and blue LEDs that serve two functions. The white LEDs imitate daylight while the blue LEDs simulate moonlight and allow night-time observation without disturbing the activity cycle. The blue glow enables animals that are nocturnal or active at twilight to find their way around the terrarium and to reach their prey more easily. A built-in day/night switch makes it easy to switch from bright daylight to nocturnal calm!
